This sterling silver Solvar Lady's Claddagh ring features an attractively oxidised interior, allowing for the beautiful Irish Claddagh and scrolling celtic knot-work to truly shine against the darkened background. A phenomenal choice for anyone seeking a hardier and more contemporary alternative to the traditional Claddagh. Also available in a matching Men's band.
The Claddagh is one of the most popular symbols in Irish jewelry. Legend has it that in the 17th century, a Galway native was captured by pirates and sold into slavery. During his time as a slave he was sold to a wealthy goldsmith, who taught him the craft.
When he was released years later and returned to Claddagh, Galway, he found his love still waiting for him. It was for her he created the Claddagh ring- the heart symbolising love, the hands friendship, and the crown loyalty.
